Description
Digital nomads are on the rise, as more and more people embrace working remotely as a way to make seeing the world more accessible.
According to data from MBO Partners, in 2019 there were 7.3 million Americans who identified as digital nomads. But in 2021, the number of American digital nomads surged up to 15.5 million.
We're talking about all things digital nomadism with travel couple and writers, Michael Jensen and Brent Hartinger. They have been digital nomads for years, and write the fantastic newsletter called Brent and Michael are Going Places.
We explore what the growing embrace of digital nomadism means for responsible tourism. We highlight the benefits of this travel style, and the potential negative impacts, too.
GUESTS:
Brent and Michael are a gay couple who decided in 2017 to sell their house in Seattle and travel the world as “digital nomads.” That means they move to a new country every few months, supporting ourselves by working remotely.
