Description

Haley Markos is wrapping up her final weeks as a student at Smith College in Massachusetts where she completed four years of cross country, three years of track, and one year of swimming. A New Hampshire native, Haley started competitive swimming and running in fifth grade and pursued triathlon throughout high school.
While pursuing her degree in engineering, Haley explored her interest in making physical activity more inclusive through research in prosthetics and wearable robotic devices. However, it has been during her work with youth running programs that Haley has discovered what she aspires to pursue as a career -- coaching.
Her personal experiences with mental health and eating disorders, ambition to use sport as a way to spark change in the world, and her overall zeal for all things running led her to start her own podcast, Triple Knot, as a space for female collegiate runners to share their own stories.
