Description

Digitalisation for real Pernilla Trygg, who comes from a family of mariners, went to sea in 1996 and then studied to become a Chief Engineer. She has been working at the sea for several years and is now a surveyor for a classification society.  Pernilla is the proud Owner of the M/S STOCKHOLM, trading to Svalbard. It's Pernillas hobby, she says, but from what she tells about the ship, it's more of a lifestyle.  Our conversation is broad. We discuss the ongoing digitalisation - how is it going? What are the benefits, and is it thought through before implementation?  And what happened in the maritime industry after #metoo? Have we managed to reinvent ourselves to be attractive to the next generation? What about leadership? There is a reference in our chat to episode 109 with Cecilia Österman, here is the link if you want to listen. Listen to Pernilla and give us a shoutout of your opinion, or drop me a line at hello@shippingpodcast.com  Thank you for listening
