Description

We are approaching June 25th, 2021, and celebrating the Day of the Seafarer, which is a way to recognise the invaluable contribution seafarers make to international trade and the world economy, often at high personal cost to themselves and their families. In episode 165, you meet Frank Coles, currently on gardening leave from Wallem, and get to listen to his view about a fair future for seafarers, the IMO theme for the 2021 Day of the Seafarer. Frank is speaking his mind about many things that need to change for the seafarers to have a fair future. - a clear career path - getting paid - getting fed - getting to go home - allowed breaks to get some rest also when in port Frank is an outspoken advocate for the seafarers. Of course, not all of you will agree with him, but at least he is contributing to the conversation that we must have. What is your view on what Frank has to say? Please let me know.
