Description

This podcast continues the lesson that I spoke about on the previous program. English translations of Leviticus 19:18 tell us this: "You shall love your neighbor as yourself, I am YHVH."  However, I don't think this is an accurate expression taken from the Hebrew text. In my opinion, a better rendering should be this way: Leviticus 19:18 - I AM (the source of) YOUR LOVE, TO (or towards)YOUR NEIGHBOUR, AS (like) HE (Messiah) IS (also) UNTO YOU.This is the lesson that Yeshua taught as the second greatest "commandment" (divine connection) in Matthew 22:34-40. This command is not about loving ourself. Rather, this command is about loving our neighbor in the same way that YHVH loves us. Within the context of the first half of this podcast, we will also have a look at John 20:22, He (Yeshua) breathed on them (His disciples, after his resurrection) and told them to receive the Holy Spirit. Yeshua's breathing action mimics the same action that brought Adam into his spiritual life in Genesis 2:7. Thus, we will have a look at the two Hebrew terms "Nephesh" = Spirit and "Neshamah" = Soul. On the second half of this podcast, we will continue with our study of 1 Corinthians 13 and Paul's statements that divine biblical love does not seek its own and does not provoke. What exactly does all of this mean? We'll have a look at the Greek and Hebrew that translates to this English word "provoke." Join us for today's podcast about true love; that it does not feed on itself nor does it provoke to an emotional, physical, or spiritual sword fight for control over another nor does it call out to an opponent for a duel-to-the-death retribution with an objective to Go ahead and Make My Day!  When  we make it all about us instead of about YHVH, it reverses all that is important to Yehovah but never does he remove our freedom of choice with an anger that really chaps his hide. This is Defining Biblical Love  PART 14 on Real Israel Talk Radio, Episode 78. Support the show (https://www.paypal.com/biz/fund?id=23WBKCMBHKDT8/Ancient Roads: Real Israel Talk Radio)

NOTICE: New weekly podcasts are NOT being produced at this present time. I am taking some much-needed time off to focus on my personal relationship with Yehovah and my family. Thanks so much for understanding. Yah willing, I shall return when I am supposed to return. In the meantime, I have archived well over 100 programs, each at 50-minutes from the previous two years beginning January 2020. ABOUT THIS PODCAST: In speaking about Israel, there is a physical and material State that was voted into legal existence on November 29, 1947, and then politically declared to be the State of Israel on May 14, 1948. However, there is yet another Israel that very few are even aware of. This is a spiritual entity represented by the God of Israel (יהוה) in the biblical Hebrew narratives of Tanakh (The Torah, the Prophets, the Writings) and HaBrit HaChadasha (The New Testament) writings as "My People." This holy entity is not specifically about Jews or non-Jews (i.e., "Gentiles"). This is a spiritually Holy and Separated Torah People, a Nation, a Messianic Light to the world. In this weekly podcast, I have much to say about these "born from above" people as Yeshua (Jesus) spoke about. In this podcast, I address a number of spiritual issues relating to the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil (Genesis 2:17 and Chapter 3), The Tree of Life (Genesis 2:9; 2:17), the Law of Moses -- the Torah; the New Covenant or New Testament; and how all the biblical and theological terminology should be understood and how the biblical Hebraic concepts can be applied to our everyday life.
