Carey Price has won the 2022 Bill Masterton Memorial Trophy for perseverance and dedication to the sport of hockey. Yet, somehow there was not all congratulations and applause for the Habs franchise netminder. Scott and Laura break down the story around Price and his comeback and also debate whether the spilled ink around his win is worth it.
After that, the NHL Draft Combine was last week in Buffalo, with all the top prospects converging to take part in player interviews with NHL teams and to do their fitness testing. Unsurprisingly the Montreal Canadiens were at the forefront of the news, not only based on who they were interviewing with, but also the seemingly odd questions they asked to the draft-eligible players. Scott and Laura discuss the biggest question posed to the prospects, and also if there's anything to read into which players were treated to dinner by Kent Hughes and the Canadiens.
Finally, the Laval Rocket kicked off the Eastern Conference Finals against the Springfield Thunderbirds on Saturday night. Scott breaks down the first two games of the series, in which the Rocket earned a hard-fought split on the road, and where the series is headed next. The hosts also take a look at when we might see top prospect Joshua Roy in the lineup, and what tweaks can still be made to keep the momentum in their favour.
