In this episode, we start chapter 5 of the Gospel of John. We cover verses 1-14.  Jesus heals a man who had been crippled for almost 40 years on the Sabbath. When the religious leaders discover that Jesus did this on the Sabbath, this will spark their persecution of Jesus. Instead of being happy for the man, the Jewish leaders are upset that someone dared break one of their laws. Not God's law, but their law.  As we know,  their persecution of Jesus will continue until they have him killed.
