Description
In this episode of the podcast, Geshe Sonam Ngodup, explains how a person endowed with great merit, can accomplish all their wishes (བསོད་ནམས་ལྡན་པའི་མི་ཡིས་བསམ་དོན་རྣམས་འགྲུབ་ཐུབ་པ།). He recites and explains a verse from the Sutra ‘Gyacher Rolpa’ (Skt. ‘Lalitavistara Sutra’, Eng. ‘The Play in Full Sutra’). This verse is recited during the Geshe graduation ceremony. Geshe la teaches in Tibetan and his teachings are translated by Venerable Khedrup. Enjoy the teachings!
བསོད་ནམས་རྣམ་སྨིན་བདེ་་སྟེར་སྡུག་བསྔལ་ཐམས་ཅད་སེལ།
The ripening of merit brings happiness and clears all suffering.
བསོད་ནམས་ལྡན་པའི་མི་ཡིས་བསམ་པ་སྣམས་ཀྱང་འགྲུབ།
A person endowed with merit has their wishes accomplished,
བདུད་བཅོམ་ནས་ནི་བྱང་ཆུབ་མྱུར་དུ་རེག་པ་འགྱུར།
By defeating the maras they quickly touch enlightenment
མྱང་ལས་འདས་ཞི་བ་བསིལ་བའི་དངོས་པོ་ཐོབ།
And quickly achieve the cooling essence of nirvana.
