Admiral James Stavridis was 16th Supreme Allied Commander of NATO, and after retiring from his naval career became the 12th Dean of The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy of Tufts University. He is the author of 10 books, including most recently Sailing True North: Ten Admirals and the Voyage of Character, and holds a PhD in international relations from Tufts. He is a monthly columnist for TIME and Chief International Analyst for NBC News.
