Description

Welcome to Roadcase, a podcast exploring the live music experience!!  Happy Holidays and Happy New Year!!  Please join us on this landmark 100th episode of Roadcase for an amazing interview with Tom Blankenship of My Morning Jacket to conclude our Season 2!!  We are so psyched to have had this awesome conversation with Tom, who plays rocking bass in one of the greatest live bands out there today.  My Morning Jacket has just come off the road after their first extensive touring in over four years -- having taken a hiatus from the road in 2018. Now, with their latest self-titled album having just been released this past October, Jacket has hit the road with renewed vigor and purpose after over 20 years of absolutely grinding it out.  Tom has a unique perspective as an original member, having been with MMJ since the beginning of it all along with founder Jim James, and who self-admittedly had come to grips with the band almost calling it quits. Tom talks about his role in the band, his own personal challenges, and what are the things most about touring and performance that "light him up."  It's a fun episode, packed with nice Jacket nuggets for the fans, along with great anecdotes from the road and from the early days of My Morning Jacket.  So hop on aboard the Roadcase bus for this fun and informative interview with Tom Blankenship of My Morning Jacket.  It's a great ride!!For more information: https://linktr.ee/roadcasepod and https://www.roadcasepod.comContact: info@roadcasepod.comTheme music:  "Eugene" (Instrumental)" by Waltzer
