Description

In this episode, Nihal interviews Todd Fine. A graduate of Harvard and a PhD candidate at the City University of New York, Todd is a New York City based activist and historian. Todd and Nihal spoke about his research on the 19th century Syrian community in New York City, the ideas of Samuel Huntington and Edward Said, and Arab immigration to America. They also discussed Lebanese/Syrian-American writers Kahlil Gibran and Ameen Rihani, Ottoman graves in Massachusetts, and why people should be concerned about the 9/11 museum.
