Description

Some have called it “degenerate filth” others have called it Scorsese’s “magnum opus”, but we just call it “crazy”. It’s The Wolf of Wall Street (2013), baby! This week we dive into the frat-boy cult that is New York’s Wall Street and boy, is it a lot to take in. This movie is like a fraudulent Great Gatsby mixed with a hint of Titanic. Very chaotic, very insane.
Just a heads up: In the last 20 minutes Olexa’s phone stopped recording so her audio is a bit quiet and distant.
Talking points: our knowledge of Martin Scorsese movies, women in Scorsese movies, parent and kid reviews of the film, the romanticization of Jordan Belfort, fact vs fiction, the celebrities we fear, celeb gossip, rating Matthew McConaughey, who we would switch bodies with, Zoe Kravitz and Channing Tatum (again), and Jordon Belfort’s first wife.
