Description

If you’ve ever had a root canal, you may be at risk for all sorts of complications beyond just the ones in your mouth. The problem is that many dentists are not aware of the connections between oral health the other parts of your body. That’s why I’ve brought in someone who understands as well as anyone the importance of taking a holistic approach to oral care.
With an office in both Los Angeles and New York, Dr. Sanda Moldovan MS, DDS is an internationally recognized speaker, award-winning periodontist, author, and television personality and consultant on oral health, periodontics, nutrition, and anti-aging.  Dr. Moldovan’s strong belief that health issues in the mouth are key indicators of a person’s overall well-being has led her to become one of the leading advocates for a well-rounded approach to oral health and nutrition.
Today, Dr. Moldovan and I discuss how infections in the mouth are actually signs that there are other issues going on with your health. Sometimes, even after we have the problem “fixed” through a root canal or other procedure, more problems can even occur as a result. As Dr. Moldovan explains, that’s why it’s essential to take a holistic approach to oral healthcare.
