Description
This week we're joined by Shehara Wooten, CFP, to discuss creating your financial story—where we dive into the different resources, narratives, and avenues to address your finances in the long and short term confidently.
Shehara is an author, speaker, financial life-planner strategist, and founder of Your Financial Story LCC, a virtual fee-only fiduciary boutique firm committed to helping women and STEM professionals move from unsure to confident about their financial decisions. She has over 17 years of experience in the financial industry. She is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™professional, helping individuals and families improve their financial position and craft their amazing financial success stories regardless of their age or amount of assets.
Her book, "In the Meantime: Own Your Financial Narrative," highlights people who have succeeded by creating their own definition of financial freedom. Systems exist that have excluded the Black community's ability to achieve wealth. However, despite the challenges, readers can be inspired by the stories of others who have succeeded "in spite of."
Shehara loves to dance, having previously taught line dancing classes and hosted local line dancing parties. She enjoys creating delicious plant-based food in her free time since she believes health is wealth!
