Description

A bit of a different interview this week. In short, because it is not an interview, but the recording of a recent Q&A that my friends and I had while attending the 2019 Points of Light conference in Delhi.
Someone that I had previously tagged as an entrepreneur that I *MUST* interview while in Delhi, Anshu Gupta's insights into delivering and measuring impact, were genuinely some of the most refreshing I have heard in a long time. He says the things that others want to, but don't, and in doing so he captures everyone in the crowd. Even those who do not agree, which given his experience and the way he is able to contextualize his stories, is hard to do.
The session is an hour long, so perhaps best to put it on in the background while getting some other work done, but believe me when I say it is worth every minute.
About Entrepreneurs For Good Series:
Through this series, we speak with Asia based entrepreneurs whose mission it is to bring solutions to the environmental, social, and economic challenges that are faced within the region to learn more about their vision, the opportunities they see, and challenges that they have had to overcome.
It is a series that we hope will not only engage and inspire you, but catalyze you and your organizations into action. To identify a challenge that is tangible, and build a business model (profit or non) that brings a solution to the market
About Anshu:
Anshu Gupta, popularly known as the Clothing Man is the Founder of an Indian based nonprofit – Goonj. One of India’s leading social entrepreneurs Anshu brings to the table an instinctive empathy and connect with people, moving the focus from the conventional - giver’s pride to the unconventional - receiver’s dignity. Asia’s Noble, the prestigious Ramon Magsaysay award 2015, conferred to him credited him for ‘his creative vision in transforming the culture of giving in India, his enterprising leadership in treating cloth as a sustainable development resource for the poor, and in reminding the world that true giving always respects and preserves human dignity’.
