Due to some more positive tests from the Marlins, their season has been put on hold until Monday at the earliest. Huge wanted to discuss the situation first thing today as he believes there’s absolutely no reason to halt the entire MLB season just because one team has positive tests. We then moved on to talk about the great news came out of MSU today. Tom Izzo continues to keep making moves on the recruiting trail as he managed to get yet another 5-star recruit, making it his third in the past month. Enoch Boakye is a 5-star center out of Ontario, Canada and is one of the top centers of the 2022 class. Kyle Austin from MLive joined us today to fill us in on everything we need to know. We then continued the MLB conversation with Scott Miller. Huge and Scott discussed the positive tests, changes in MLB schedule, where do we go from here, and much more.=
Huge continued the MLB/Covid conversation in our second hour today until we moved on to take a closer look at the Tigers’ loss to the Royals last night. We were joined by Evan Petzold to get his take and so that he and Huge could break down what went wrong last night and where our Tigers need work. They also took a look at the situation that the Marlins are dealing with and how it could affect the rest of the league. We moved on to talk about training camp the Detroit Lions and the NFL with Mike O’Hara. He and Huge talked about how the NFL plans to handle the season and what they can learn from the MLB right now.
Off of the conversation about how the NFL could learn from what the MLB is dealing with - we were joined by Frank Schwab in the final hour to get his thoughts. Frank gave us his insight on how he thinks things are being handled and what the NFL could take from this to implement for their season.
