Description

This year, for a third time, Eric Kienle took on the Mid-State Mile in Tennessee. He absolutely crushed it running 127.6 miles with 39,440 feet of elevation gain/loss. Eric is a former Florida resident who recently moved out to Montana, he's won races like the Itch, the SWAMP 50k, the first-ever Skunk Ape Night Run, and the Wild Florida 120.
The Mid-State Mile course is housed on private land just 20 minutes from Downtown Franklin, TN. It's a one-mile course and hosts 340 feet of elevation gain per loop. That elevation is thanks to two climbs with fast runnable sections between them, plus an easy downhill section through the field to the start/finish area. The course itself is an old logging road with a lot of local history.
It's a Last Man Standing race that restarts every 20 minutes, so runners will have to complete the loop and be back in the starting corral ready to start the next loop until the last man standing.
