Description

On today’s podcast I had professional ping pong player Wally Green on! Wally has a really crazy story of growing up in the projects and then being shipped off to Germany where he learned and developed his ping pong skills and eventually became a pro. Along that journey, he also signed a deal with Rockstar Games to make a ping pong game, the first ever ping pong game! It was really cool to hear about how that was developed and all the work he put in. He also goes through his journey as a professional ping pong player and what it was like competing against the Chinese, as well as all the little things he had to do to create the wins for himself. We also go through his business. He has opened up ping pong bars, which are really exciting. Overall, his story and energy really inspired me and it was a great interview, so make sure you stay to the end! Join the Wealthy Way today and get access to my free course, planner, and discord community! https://wealthyway.comFollow Wally on social media!Instagram - @wallygreennyc______________________________________________________For a free consultation with my team go to https://RyanPineda.comGo Subscribe to My Podcast "The Ryan Pineda Show" https://www.youtube.com/c/theryanpinedashowWant to invest in real estate deals with me? He was joining gangs at a young age as a result. Wally Green said that he even hated ping pong at the time and used to make fun of other players. He started playing ping pong after an angry outburst playing pool. He approached a group playing ping pong and played with them, and they suggested he join a ping pong club. Wally said that he had trouble getting people to play with him. Then someone approached him about being partners and even paid him each time they played! The partners became close and he was invited to his partners home. He hung out with his family and had a great time. Soon after, his partner wanted to help him have a better life, and offered him a chance to learn and play ping pong in Germany. After about a month in Germany, Wally Green had a huge mindset shift. He had a angry and violent mindset when he was home and even when he moved to Germany. After being “killed with kindness” he finally realized that these people genuinely cared for him and he should think differently. After training in Germany, he came back to America and began winning tournaments. He learned to love the sport. After playing a match in China Town in Manhattan, NY, he was approached by Rockstar Games to help develop a ping pong game. The game got a lot of publicity because it was the first game of it’s kind. Wally Green says that doing motion capture was insanely difficult.
