Most recently, he was founding Chief Product Officer at Stellar Cyber. In his 30-year career, John has held executive positions at Comodo, Barracuda, Juniper, Fortinet, Websense, Montego Networks, and Netscreen. He was a key member of four companies that went public and three that were acquired. John served as a United States Marine and holds multiple patents. We talk about Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) and how this new security concept can co-exist with Zero Trust. SASE can be thought of as a unified vision on how an organization can achieve Zero Trust for their network, and based on the fact that networks have changed, the security that protects them must change as well. This integration streamlines processing simplifies access and reduces latency while enforcing security. It also requires a network and network security architectures to be rethought and rebuilt from the ground up. I also learn how SASE can greatly improve network security without burdening the user.
