Austin Novasad, a star quarterback in the class of 2023 from Dripping Springs, Texas, committed to Dave Aranda and the Baylor Bears very early on. That was then, though, and this is now. As the now four-star has gotten offers from Stanford, Texas Tech, TCU, Houston, SMU and others, offensive coordinator Jeff Grimes, quarterback coach Shawn Bell and Aranda have to continue recruiting Novasad even after his commitment. Drake is joined by Sports Illustrated's John Garcia Jr. to talk Novasad's skill and how he's being courted. 

Keeping the topic rolling, Novasad's signing brings up a point made by listener Stephen from Virginia — how many quarterbacks on a roster is too many? That question comes to mind when Novasad enters a room that features C.J. Stroud, Kyron Drones and Blake Shapen. John makes the case that four quarterbacks is a fine number to hold, but it typically means that one player needs to go. 

Lastly, Drake lobs some softball's up to John in the realm of Nick Saban, Deion Sanders and Jimbo Fisher. From how the feud arose to the responses by Fisher and Sanders, John makes the case that the entire fiasco will not greatly affect recruiting for any teams involved. He'd also still commit to play for Saban, if one day given the chance.
