But it wasn’t always this easy. Investing in solar used to be risky business. Cheng tells us it’s much easier to get financing now than ever.By 2030, 1 in 7 American homes are expected to have solar panels. And by 2050, it’s to become up to 45% of the U.S. electricity supply. Over here in Taiwan, clean energy accounts for just 5% of our energy supply. Taiwan wants to raise that number to 20% by 2030.
