Description

This week I sat down with Michael Carpenter, of the upcoming Gastonia, NC music venue, The Rooster! This episode is a little different as it features no music! It's also my first episode that doesn't feature a practicing musician, though I intend to bring you more like this in the future! We start off "talking shop" a little bit as well as discussing the trip to Myrtle Beach to see The Fill Ins and Lilith Rising that we took later that day. Once we get rolling, in addition to talking about his vision for The Rooster, we also talk about Michael's short lived band career, cover songs, the importance of art, Rooster Radio, and the Raise the Roost benefit show being held June 26!https://theroostergastonia.com/https://www.facebook.com/theroostergastonia/linktr.ee/gabbagabbahuhThis episode is brought to you by Hobo Wolfman Records. Welcome to the Gabba Gabba Huh? Podcast, featuring the best of The Carolinas' punk, alternative, hard rock, and heavy metal from the past 40 years. While the main podcast (Gabba Gabba Huh? Talks) will be more converstional and interview style, while "Gabba Gabba Huh? Radio" will focus on the music, with some background information on the songs and bands featured. Most songs will be digitized from original vinyl, cassette, or CD sources, thus the quality will vary, but will be rather true to the original form. Hosted by Mike Phillips from Van Huskins
