The crossing of the Red Sea was a triumphant victory of God against Pharaoh and the Egyptians. God defeated them, saving His people. So it was only natural for Moses to be inspired to sing out in praise and worship to God, declaring God's victory! This is the first song recorded in the Bible.  It’s a divinely inspired song; Moses didn’t write it down and then sing it. It came to him as he sang.

Songs



Most of the songs that Christians sing now continue to proclaim the great things God has done, especially Christ Jesus and His saving work. Songs and hymns teach the Christian faith and encourage us to remain in Christ.  They give us words to sing together in praise for what God has done for us through His Son.
