Even though it was just one man that broke covenant with God and stole the devoted things at Jericho, his actions spread to cover all of the Israelites. They suffered from Achan’s decision to steal and then hide the devoted things, and God’s anger burned over all of Israel. The sin of one man led to the defeat of the entire nation at the city of Ai!
