Description

The top line of horses is the muscles along the back bone from the withers to the rump. It is where the saddle or load goes onto the horse. It is an indicator of the overall athletic condition of the horse and is often seen as a "poor" top line when the back bone (spine) is higher then the surrounding muscle. My view of the top line is an early indicator of chronic protein self absorption and chronic intake of dietary high quality protein. This podcast has a visual component as I use the white board feature of the iPad. However if you are just listening, I use descriptive words to paint what I am saying. The Horse's Advocate radio show is all about helping horse owners find the missing horse owner's manual of owning and caring for horses. Hosted by Geoff Tucker, DVM (aka "Doc T"), he brings to you wisdom from almost 50 years with horses. But beware - some of this stuff is NOT what you might expect. When the "box to think outside of" was built, he was never included and remained outside! The goal of this show is to Help Horses Thrive In A Human World.
