Adam is a well respected elected official, civic leader, and self-proclaimed "community gadfly."  He is a strong advocate for increasing diversity in predominantly white Appalachia and committed to sharing stories about African Americans in Appalchia. Herandy serves as an instructor and community liaison at the Langston Center working with Adam.
