Description
In this edition of Locked on Capitals Dan talks about what teams are the frontrunner to win the Metro division. Training camps haven't even started or the first preseason game hasn't been played but there's already teams that are favored to win.
The two teams that most are talking about including The Athletic are the Carolina Hurricanes and the New York Rangers. Dan gives his thoughts on those picks and who he thinks will finish top of the metro and where the Capitals fit in.
The Capitals added:
Darcy Kuemper, Dylan Strome, Connor Brown, Charlie Lindgren, Erik Gustafsson.
Darcy Kuemper backstopped the Colorado Avalanche on their win of the Stanley Cup.
Dylan Strome is slated to be the second line center in Nick Backstrom's absence. Connor Brown ostensibly fills in for Tom Wilson on the top line right wing. Charlie Lindgren who had flashes of greatness last season with St Louis will have his big shot in the NHL being Darcy Kuemper backup.
Journeyman Erik Gustafsson will get his shot to help the Caps solidify their blue line.
