Description
The Stanley Cup Playoffs are underway and the first week has been full of upsets and thrilling games. Three of our local experts join host Gil Martin to discuss the biggest stories from around the league.
First, Ian McLaren of Locked on Boston Bruins stops by to discuss his team's opening round playoff battle with the Carolina Hurricanes and that series is now all even at 2-2. The strong play of Brad Marchand made a big difference in Game 4 and Ian discusses the keys for the Bruins going forward.
Then Adam Denker of Locked On Lightning discusses the battle between the defending Stanley Cup champion Lightning and the Toronto Maple Leafs. He breaks down the problems the Lightning have had this season and how Victor Hedman, Steven Stamkos and company can overcome them as the series heads back to Toronto.
And finally Hunter Hodies of Locked On Penguins discusses his team's surprising 2-1 series lead over the New York Rangers. Who would have guessed that Louis Domingue would be outdueling Igor Shesterkin in the playoffs right now? And the Penguins have gotten contributions from more than just Sidney Crosby, Evgeni Malkin and Kris Letang.
All this and more on the Monday edition of the Locked On NHL Podcast.
