Introduction and Announcements I am your host, Brent Bergherm. Welcome to Latitude Photography podcast, the place where travel-outdoor photographers come to learn, grow, create and be inspired. We’re all on a journey to make more images and to do so with purpose. Thank you so much for being here. Let me tell ya, I’m so thankful for Chris and the time he spent with me here. There’s a few takeaways I have for myself and I’ll talk about those at the end, for now, let’s head on over to the conversation and I’ll be back afterwards with a few more thoughts. Chris, thank you for being here today. Welcome to the show! Main Topic: Changing Lanes Tell us a bit about yourself. How did you get into photography. Whatever you’d like to share with the listeners. Types-genres of photography you do. Where you are now: Out of Chicago. Briefly tell us about this organization. Where you were before: Teaching What caused you to change? What was the first inkling that you needed to make a change, and how did it become a reality? How many events does OOC do each year (in a normal year)? You have a special event coming up somewhat soon, tell us about that. Anything else you’d like to share? Takeaway #1, I really resonated with the idea of just doing your work and putting it out there. Don’t be afraid. Do listen, and refine as needed, but get it out there.  Takeaway #2, This conversation has really helped me recalibrate my “why.” Why I do what I do is more important than what I do and as I thought about this over the last few days I realized I was getting a little sidetracked and not focusing on my why.  Many thanks to Chris once again, and to Rick Sammon who suggested I get in touch with him. It’s been and amazing summer of great conversations with several wonderful people. I know my life is better for it and I hope yours is too!
