Description

Today’s show is all about my recent trip to the Oregon Coast. I needed to do some more scouting for my upcoming workshop in August and it was a hoot. This is an enhanced episode so you’ll be able to see the images embedded here on your player, or check them out in the facebook group and in the show notes. I also spent this time exclusively with the Fuji X-T3, a camera I very badly want to love, but as I get into the details I’ll explain my challenges I’m having with this camera. Image 1: A focus stack that had a few issues. Image 2: Sea Star focus stack using Helicon Focus software. It’s awesome. Image 3: A three frame vertical panorama with focus stacking on the bottom and exposure blending on the top. I’m really proud of this image! ? Image 4: A cave with “boiling” water coming in from the ocean. Two frame vertical panorama. Image 5: Sea stars and sea anemones are so colorful with the Fuji Velvia film simulation. Image 6: Another Sea Star, I love shooting them! Image 7: A B&W conversion with some great texture coming in from the rocks, kelp and moving water. Image 8: Advancing Waves make for a great leading line. Image 9: I love it when a plan comes together. When a nice natural framing element hugs your scene, it’s a good day ? Images 11–14: Sunset on the beach near Pistol River. Image 15: Cape Blanco Lighthouse Images 16–18: Between Shore Acres and Sunset Bay State Parks. Image 19: The mystery image. Email me the specific name of this location and you’ll be sent a $100 off coupon to my Oregon coast workshop for August. If you can’t attend the workshop, then I’ll send you a new sticker for the podcast once I have them printed. Images 20, 21: First Milky Way shots with a star tracker.
