Description

Time and timing are two different, but connected, ideas. Time is what we use to synchronize events. Timing is the natural rhythm of nature such as the movement of the sun, the days of the weeks, the waxing and waning of the moon. Hours, minutes and seconds are artificial measurements we have created for the more efficient and accurate management of time. Tora uses time to synchronize, but wants people to align themselves to the natural rhythm of the universe rather than to be obsessed only with their clocks.  Watching the clock tick and the seconds move, accelerates our lives and robs us of the beauty and depth that needs time to be experienced. Aligning to the more even rhythm of nature, slows us down so that we can access depth.
