One of our favorite guests to date comes back for another episode! We are very excited to have a chance to sit down with Jonathan Ferrer from Brew Watches for the second time.We have the first watch twinning on this episode as both Spence and Jonathan were wearing the burgundy Retromatic. This is very exciting. We also talk about the design process, some of the color iterations that were left on the cutting room floor, why the burgundy colorway doesn't have the yellow seconds hand, and much more. We also talk about Brew Time, the magazine that accompanies the new Retromatic. This adds a personal touch to the story of the design process.We also really dive into the bracelet for the Retromatic as it really ties the whole watch together. Jonathan talks to us about the design, the structure, and how he had to ensure that the bracelet was thin enough and flexible enough to be comfortable, but also retain its structural integrity. We think he absolutely nailed it. Of course, we had to talk about the new watch transport vehicle as well. This conversation was fun as we got to talk about modifying cars, watches, and other designs. Sometimes, it is just best to leave the design work to the person who had the original idea.Once againg, Jonathan does an excellent job of articulating his design process, inspiration, and philosophy.
