Description

The Long Story Short with Dr. Been
Epstein Barr Virus Reactivation in COVID
Dr. Been reviewed a study from China published in May 2021 concluding a high incidence of EBV co-infection in COVID-19 patients. EBV/SARS-CoV-2 coinfection was associated with fever and increased inflammation. EBV reactivation may be associated with the severity of COVID-19. The reactivation of EBV may also be the cause of the COVID long haul symptoms.
