-We discuss the importance of news coverage and it’s pros and cons. Maddie talks about the family confirming a mental health issue and how this could be huge in changing a NTSB report.
Emma talks on how the student was flying with an undisclosed mental health issue and how often this occurs; as well the responsibility the FAA has to make sure pilots can seek help before tragedy occurs.
-Hauser's family established the John A. Hauser Mental Health in Aviation Initiative Fund, with the UND Alumni Association & Foundation. The fund can be found online at undalumni.org/JohnsFund. As of Monday morning, more than $20,000 has been raised for the fund.
