Description

Welcome back TVTP fans to your favourite Vets and Pets podcast - Two Vets Talk Pets! And welcome to our listeners in the Cook Islands! Here is Episode 20 - fresh, and ready for your ears!

And we've got a special treat for you - our first road trip! And getting to see the awesome TVTP T-Shirts that Lewis got made up.

But first, Lewis laments about Ice Skating, and tells Robbie about a Barn Owl and Possum that came into work.

Robbie fell into an internet hole chasing a story about dogs using facial expressions to increase their chances of being adopted, but how it doesn't work for cats, and how this may have been an evolutionary advantage in the domestication of dogs by humans.

We are then joined by our first guest Dr Simon Hurn, a Specialist Vet Ophthalmologist from All Animal Eye Services in Melbourne. Our podcasters head to Advanced Vetcare in Kensington on their first TVTP road trip to ask Simon about how he got into eyes, what to look for with problems for your pets eyes at home, and about cloudy eyes in older dogs. And about low clearance and how damaging it can be for bikes on car roofs...

Robbie then brings things home with talking about Anti-Inflammatories - what are they, how they work, and are they safe?

(And listen to us on Spotify!)

(And don't ask us to spell Ophthalmologist without using auto correct - its just too hard...)
