The Miami Hurricanes have just landed their second 5-star commit for the Class of 2023! Edge rusher Jayden Wayne, from Tacoma, WA, officially announced his verbal commitment to The U on Saturday, July 9th, 2022. Wayne made the announcement alongside his sister, who’s celebrating her 16th birthday. His sister put the Miami hat on to make it official. 
Host Alex Donno breaks down Wayne’s commitment and what he will bring to the table for the Canes. Wayne told Miami fans “they are getting a beast” and he’s absolutely right. He’s the 5th ranked pass rusher in the class and the 30th ranked player overall. Miami head coach Mario Cristobal has been recruiting Wayne since he was an 8th grader, and gave Wayne his first offer while head coach at the Oregon Ducks. Jayden’s commitment brings Miami back into the top 10 nationally for the 2023 class. They now rank 9th. Wayne joins OT Francis Mauigoa as the second 5-Star in the class for the Canes.
