I'm just gonna lay my cards on the table here - I don't like Mickey Mouse. I think he's creepy, his voice is annoying, and Donald Duck should frame him for murder and take over as the face that runs the place at Disney. And whether it's due to my hatred of Mickey or just my lack of sophistication, I don't think I've ever played a Mickey Mouse game before this one. So I went into Castle of Illusion expecting it to suck...

 
But to my surprise, it's actually a pretty competent platformer! I don't think it does anything revolutionary, and I certainly don't think it's among the Genesis's best game like some people do. But I didn't hate my time with this game. 
 
I'm rolling solo this week, I'm whacked out on Benadryl, and I'm ready to explain my Mickey sucks but his video game doesn't.
