On today's episode of Locked on Wild, we recap the Wild's 4-1 loss to Seattle. We look at the impact of losing Mats Zuccarello and Rem Pitlick to COVID-19, and the loss of Alex Goligoski and Dmitry Kulikov to injuries. While it's tough to be shorthanded on the road, the Wild are still too talented of a team to play like they did. We look at how frustrating it is for the Wild to go almost 30 minutes of on ice time getting dominated, and wasting a great Penalty Kill and Cam Talbot's best start of the season. We finish the episode by looking at the need for Kevin Fiala and Kirill Kaprizov to step up and overcome their slow starts to get this team on track. We also talk about the Avalanche and how they haven't started the season on a good note and what it will take for the Wild to come away with a win in their final game of October.
