One of the most important (and charming!) personalities in the Latin music world, Latin Grammy nominated DJ, Remixer, Producer and founder of the band Mexican Institute of Sound (MIS), Lara mixes traditional Mexican folk styles with electronica, hip-hop cumbia and even Bollywood sounds. He has worked in the music for movies like "Y Tu Mamá También","Rudo y Cursi" and his music has been featured in many television shows including "Breaking Bad", "Scrubs", "Californication", Ugly Betty, and FIFA (EA Sports). Lara was brought on as a creative consultant for the Disney Pixar film Coco, which went on to win an Oscar for its music. Lara has collaborated with artists from all genres and backgrounds including Toots and the Maytals, Boy George, Sly and Robbie, Money Mark, among many others. On this episode we go deep into how music plays an essential part of Camilo's life, how he got Boy George to sing in one of his tracks and how he relies on his instincts to determine whether a song will be published or not.
