Kulap Vilaysack is an entertainer. She was born in Washington D.C. and raised in Eagan, Minnesota. She currently resides in Los Angeles with her husband, Scott, and (very sweet) dog, Georgia Michaela. Kulap co-host's the podcast "Who Charted?" with long time friend, Howard Kremer. She is currently in post-production of her debut documentary Origin Story - it features a road trip into her complicated past. (Origin Story To Be Completed End of 2017). She also is the creator and showrunner of the comedy show Bajillion Dollar Propertie$. Her TV acting credits include: The Office, Parks and Recreation, Happy Endings, Bob's Burgers, The Sarah Silverman Program and Reno 911! She has had recurring roles in Children's Hospital and Comedy Bang! Bang! Her film acting credits include: I Love You Man and Welcome to Me starring Kristen Wiig.

Born and bred in a lower working/upper poverty level neighborhood in Akron Ohio, she credits her Japanese mother's strength, tenacity, and love of Black culture for her fish-out-of-water survival skills and dark humor. Rhett never knew where she belong. Growing up, she always wanted to fit in but her surroundings made her feel like she was an imposter. She did everything she could to live from the expectation of others.
