Leigh Roxas-Mobley is a woman in tech. Leigh is passionate about encouraging those in underrepresented groups to pursue their dreams of working in a STEAM field. As a Moms Can: Code coach, Leigh hosts coworking sessions and workshops designed to help fellow moms learn to code and pursue careers in tech. In March 2018, Leigh was on the winning team at The Expat Woman’s Womanhack All Women’s Hackathon, where she and her teammates designed an app to make women’s healthcare more accessible and affordable. In April 2018, Leigh was a guest speaker at the Moms Can: Code Virtual Summit.
Leigh shares how she was able to overcome her negative perceptions of herself and be able to become a woman in tech. She is now helping others who went through similar experiences as she did.
