News:
Disneyland unveiled their new annual passholder program, now called Magic Key. The new program looks to be a re-skin of the old program with four tiers of passes. The Dream Key, which has no blockout dates, allows 6 reservations held at a time, 20% off select merchandise, and 15% off select dining, with parking included for $1,399. The Believe Key is the next level with more blockout dates, 6 reservations at a time, 10% off select merchandise and dining, and 50% off parking for $949. The Enchant Key has more blockouts and is similar to the Flex Pass on the old system. It includes 4 reservations, and 10% off select merchandise and dining for $649. Finally, the Imagine Key is the new SoCal Select Pass with the most blockouts, only available to SoCal residents, 2 reservations, and 10% off select merchandise and dining for $399. All plans allow for a payment plan if the purchaser resides in California. For full details, check out the link in our show notes at dlweekly.net. – https://disneyland.disney.go.com/magic-key/
The World Famous Jungle Cruise had a World Premiere at Disneyland on July 24th. The cast from the movie rode the original attraction and then were accompanied by Jungle Cruise skippers down the red carpet on the small world mall to the premiere held in the Fantasyland Theater. – https://disneyparks.disney.go.com/blog/2021/07/exclusive-scenes-from-disneys-jungle-cruise-world-premiere-at-disneyland-park/
For those of you who either went out to the theater or purchased the Premiere Access to The Jungle Cruise on Disney+, you may want to keep an eye out on the attraction next time you visit. Some clever easter eggs have been added to the iconic attraction from the movie. Some clothing worn in the movie appears on the office door and walls of Alberta Falls, a map hangs on the wall across from the Society of Explorers and Adventurers collection, and more! Check out the link in our show notes at dlweekly.net to see more. – https://disneyparks.disney.go.com/blog/2021/07/discover-jungle-cruise-film-easter-eggs-at-newly-enhanced-world-famous-jungle-cruise-attraction/
One of the original establishments in Disneyland has finally reopened to guests. The Golden Horseshoe returned on July 29th for dining only at this time. There was plenty of seating indoors in the cool air conditioning that is much needed in the heat of the summer. – https://www.disneyfoodblog.com/2021/07/29/photos-golden-horseshoe-has-reopened-in-disneyland/
A staple of the Disneyland resort has returned to at least one location for now. With the reopening of the Pacific Wharf Cafe, bread bowls have returned. Guests can now get Mac and Cheese, or choice of Broccoli Cheese or Clam Chowder in the bowl. Each version is $11.49. The bowls are made fresh daily at the location and will hopefully make their way back to Disneyland as well soon. – https://www.disneyfoodblog.com/2021/07/29/we-were-reunited-with-bread-bowls-at-pacific-wharf-cafe-at-disneyland/
One of Teresa’s favorite treats is now available with a bit of alcohol! The Pixar Pier Parfait can now be ordered with Blue Caracao. The rest of the treat is exactly the same as the standard parfait. Guests can pick this one up for $13 at Adorable Snowman Treats on Pixar Pier. – https://www.disneyfoo
