The seasonal tradition of hand-made candy canes is upon us. Disneyland has released their schedule for selling them this year at the Candy Palace in Disneyland, and Trolley Treats in Disney California Adventure. Starting in Decemeber, the Candy Palace will have them on the 3rd, 5th, 10th, 12th, 17th, 19th, and 24th. Trolley Treats will have them on alterate days starting with December 4th, 6th, 11th, 13th, 18th, 20th, and finally Christmas Day! World of Color – Season of Light is back for the holidays but this time with a new, limited time short before the show. The short highlights the story from Disney’s new animated movie Wish. While the holidays have been moving into the parks for some time now, there are new decorations up in the hotels and in Downtown Disney. The Disneyland Hotel has gone for a mid-century modern look, with whimsical decorations reminiscent of it’s a small world. It will snow in Downtown Disney around the big tree near Jazz Kitchen and Splitsville every half hour from 6 to 10pm. Two iconic parts of Disneyland have recently celebrated a milestone anniversary. The Main Street Fire Engine has been delighting guests, and even Walt Disney himself, for 65 years. In fact, the last photo of Walt in Disneyland was with him and Mickey on the Fire Engine! Steve Dinley, the cast member who is normally seen driving the iconic vehicle is celebrating 50 years at Disneyland!
