#32 Lirika Matoshi moved to NYC from Kosovo to attend the FIT. She wasn’t admitted to the fashion school and without a fashion education, she decided to follow her passion and started producing by herself her hand-embellished tights, glittery dresses and socks that she was selling on Etsy. In this episode, she told us how without a fashion education, she went from Etsy to starting a successful fashion brand thank to Instagram and how after a couple of months she started selling her products at Nordstrom and Free People. She also talks about opening a pop-up store to test the water for a store in the future, if being in a fashion capital is really necessary to start a fashion brand and how New York has helped her.
