On today's episode, we discuss how ten prospects debuting is a lot, it's still not the record. There's a few reasons why so many debuted this year, some stemming from deliberate changes made in the CBA to some being coincidence.
We then go on to discuss some of the top minor league pitching debuts last week. Low-A saw Cleveland Guardians prospect Gavin Williams debut for Lake County and Rancho Cucamonga saw lefty Maddux Bruns DEAL, while Andry Lara for the Washington Nationals looked good in his three innings for Low-A Fredericksburg and was a good reminder that the stats aren't as important as how well the pitcher's stuff and plan is executed.
The high minors saw new Athletics prospect Ryan Cusick and Dodgers righty Bobby Miller both impress in Double-A, while George Kirby put on a SHOW in Double-A Arkansas and may be pitching for the Seattle Mariners soon if he keeps this up.
