On today's show, we're looking at the voting for NL and AL Rookie of the Year! Julio Rodriguez of the Seattle Mariners ran away with the AL award, handily beating Baltimore Orioles C Adley Rutschman and Cleveland Guardians 3B Steven Kwan. There was some consternation about Kansas City Royals INF Bobby Witt Jr beating out Houston Astros SS Jeremy Pena for the #4 spot, though. The NL race was closer, but OF Michael Harris of the Atlanta Braves beat teammate Spencer Strider for the award, followed by St. Louis Cardinals utility man Brendan Donovan, Arizona Diamondbacks OF Jake McCarthy, and Cincinnati Reds RP Alexis Diaz. We close the show with some 2023 ROTY talk, naming four prospects for each league who should be early favorites for the award.
