Description

BIO:
Robin Lyons joins the OPEX team as one of the most experienced and sought out female strength & conditioning coaches in program design for individuals and facilities. “Training isn’t about your best day or your worst day, it’s the sum of your averages throughout the year that determines your outcome.” Along with remote coaching Robin is also an instructor for the OPEX Athlete camps. “The camps are a great way to impact athletes at all levels. The camps provide real numbers for the athletes to look at the truth to where their training is taking them and how to make it even better.”  Robin loves building a program that not only enhances performance, but also educates the athlete on why they are doing what they are doing. “ Education and the opportunity for growth is why I love coaching, period”
Robin’s extensive competitive career has led her to OPEX to continue learning from the best. She currently works with athletes around the world at the Regional and Games level. Robin was an owner and head coach at two fitness facilities, as well an assistant strength and conditioning coach for Southern Utah University Track and Field Teams before making the move to back to Arizona.
Certificates: OPEX Level 1, (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association and holds a degree in Exercise Science. Currently writing her thesis for a Master’s Degree in Sports Conditioning.
Athletic Highlights: 5 time Regional Cross Fit competitor, 5-time All-American in Division 1 Track & Field, a 2-time Canadian Nat’l Champion in Hammer & Discus, Brakeman for the American Cup Bobsleigh team, 6-time REMAX World Long Drive Championship Competitor. If Robin is not in the gym she is either racing her Mt Bike in an Adventure Race X-stream Series or hiking Rim to Rim to Rim across The Grand Canyon.
