If you’re in a season of growing your gear list, you’re wanting to know what lenses and all that jazz we use, OR you’re just curious about what kind of gear goes into shooting professional photography this episode is for you!   Before we go any further, though, I wanted to take a moment to discuss what you NEED as a photographer. The reality is, friend, you don’t have to have ALL THE GEAR UNDER THE SUN. And you especially don’t have to have it when you first start out.    We’re are about to break down a bunch of gear that we have and use but please keep in mind that we’ve been accumulating this for YEARS. We remember what it feels like to see all these photographers using these fancy schmancy (and expensive as HECK) lenses or pieces of gear, and it’s easy to feel like “ugh, well I’ll never succeed until I get all of that!”. You do NOT need all the fanciest, newest, nicest gear in the world. In fact, sometimes the simpler the better! We both use one specific lens 80% of the time we’re shooting.
