Description

2012 Olympic silver medalist Leo Manzano joins the CITIUS MAG Podcast to share his thoughts on some of the best moments of his long and successful career as one of America's top 1,500 meter runners. Manzano made every U.S. national team for the World Championships or Olympics from 2007 to 2015. He looks back at what were some of the best races and moments including putting us in his shoes for the 1,500 meter final in London.

Manzano also opens up about he approaches a bad race and gets past the struggles in his career. In 2016, he battled pneumonia and it impacted him for a long time. When you have a career as long as his, there are plenty of highs and a few lows.

Other questions include:

Could we ever see him race a 5,000m?

How did he target and approach the American record after running 3:30 at age 30?

Manzano's style has always been to creep up and maneuver his way to the win or podium on the last lap, does he have to change that due to his longevity?
