Solveig Barrios, the founder of The Mayan Wisdom Project comes from a family line of deep spiritual leaders. Most influenced by her father the renowned Maya Elder Carlos Barrios, who wrote books and traveled the world spreading his vast knowledge about Mayan wisdom.
She began to learn about the Maya Geo-Cosmovision at a very early age and is currently on the path to becoming an Ajq’ij (Mayan spiritual leader) with the guidance that was left to her by her family, plus the incredible knowledge of her great teachers who are spiritual leaders from indigenous communities in Guatemala. Since her practice started, Solveig has acquired deep knowledge on the topic of Mayan wisdom, and ever since she has had the opportunity to travel, she has been learning and sharing from different spiritual leaders from all over Guatemala.

The Mayan Wisdom Project has been a stepping stone on her mission to make the wisdom of one of the most developed and enlightened civilizations in history known to the world. She believes we all have the ability to heal, grow, evolve, and become the creators of our personal reality, and she believes the Mayans hold spiritual technologies that guide us through that process and open our minds to incredible ideas.
